Bars in Oviedo, FL: Wine, Sports & Waterfront Drinks

When someone asks me where to get a drink in Oviedo, I usually start with the kind of evening I actually want: a long wine-and-food conversation, a cocktail next to a big game, wings with friends, or a cold drink by Lake Jesup. I’d match the plan to the bar before picking an address. If the conversation matters, I’m already thinking about what to eat alongside the wine. If the game matters, I want the screen and sound settled before anyone sits down. That’s how this guide is organized, around the night you’re actually planning.

For the wine-and-food evening

If the plan is a long conversation with a glass in hand, I’m picking The Crazy Cork Wine Bar and building the night around the kitchen. The seasonal menu lists whipped feta with toasted focaccia and a short rib au poivre with peppercorn cream and Yukon Golds. That’s my intended sequence: start with the feta, then commit to something rich. If meat isn’t the move, the butternut squash risotto is the other full plate I’d consider.

The kitchen closes at 9pm Tuesday through Saturday while the bar runs to 10pm, so an 8pm table means ordering food before you settle into the wine. Sunday shifts everything earlier, 3 to 7pm, and the 9pm kitchen cutoff doesn’t apply, but dinner still needs to fit inside that shorter window. The wine list includes Italian reds such as Chianti, Barolo, and Valpolicella, alongside international whites, sparkling, and roses. If Italian red is your lane, those are the names I’d start with. Flights are listed, but the current lineup and price come from your server. This is a 21+ venue at all hours, so everyone in your party needs to be 21 or older.

For cocktails and a game

When the night needs a screen and a cocktail, Oviedo Park Pub is the call. Their FAQ describes 15 TVs plus a 140-inch projector inside The Food Factory, which is the setup that earns this stop. On the drink menu, the Smoking Gun builds a smoked Old Fashioned on Old Forester 86. That’s what I’d order when I want that smoke front and center. For something brighter, the Tom Holland pairs gin with elderflower, cucumber, and lime.

You can order from the Food Factory vendors around the pub, and our Food Factory guide covers the food side if you want dinner, and explains how to order across the counters. The bar moves to 21+ at 9pm, so mixed-age groups should plan the earlier window. Check the official events page for trivia, bingo and UCF watch parties, then confirm your specific game and whether its sound will be on. For daytime visits or private parties, contact them rather than assuming every table is open or reservable.

For wings away from the park

For wings and a game without the Oviedo-on-the-Park setting, Froggers on Alafaya Woods is the branch I’d try. The Traditional 10 Wings order is the menu anchor, and I’d ask about the buffalo and honey BBQ sauces. The building hours for this location are Monday–Wednesday 11am–11pm, Thursday–Saturday 11am–midnight, and Sunday 11am–11pm. Before a late wing run, call to check kitchen closing time and whether your game will be on with sound.

For the lakefront drink

I’d choose Lazy Gator Bar when the Lake Jesup setting is part of the plan. Check the weather before choosing an outdoor evening at Black Hammock. The bar menu runs through the restaurant kitchen, with gator bites among the bar food options. Ask which dishes are available when you visit. The kitchen can close earlier than the late bar hours, and the deck is advertised for private-party rental, so I’d call (407) 365-1244 before driving out to ask what the kitchen is serving that day and whether a public lakefront seat is available. If the group includes anyone under 21, ask the staff about the bar’s age policy before setting out.

Checking the tab before you go

If I’m ballparking a budget ahead of time, Black Hammock’s menu posts a Cabernet at $6 per glass and an Old Fashion at $14 per cocktail. Ask the bartender which menu items are available at the bar, the glass size and the current price, then allow for any tax and tip in your total.

Pick first, then verify

Choose the venue, then check the detail that could change your evening. For The Crazy Cork, check reservations and whether Sunday’s early close affects dinner. For Park Pub, confirm your game, sound, and the 9pm age cutoff if anyone in the party is under 21. For Froggers, call about kitchen hours and your game. For Lazy Gator, check weather, kitchen service, public seating and age policy. Use the addresses above to plan your group’s ride and pickup spot before heading out. For current promos, the Deals page is the more useful browse, and the Bars & Breweries directory can widen the list if you want to compare more stops.
