Rippin’ Riverside Skate Park in Oviedo: First-Visit Guide

I’m the kind of planner who checks the session and the waiver before loading a board, because a wet surface or a missing signature can end the outing before it starts. Rippin’ Riverside Skate Park in Oviedo rewards that habit. It’s a 30,000-square-foot lighted skate park at 1608 Lockwood Blvd with a street course and bowls, with posted session hours. The admission fee applies to anyone entering the skate area, and under-18 riders need a chinstrap helmet every session. This guide puts the first visit in the order that actually saves time.

Admission and passes: non-member numbers first

The city’s adopted FY 2026/27 fee schedule splits rates by residency and Recreation membership. These are the non-member, per-person prices. Existing Recreation members can check the member rates in the same PDF.

Pass or rental Oviedo resident non-member Non-resident non-member
Rippin’ Riverside Skate Park daily admission $5 $7
Rippin’ Riverside Skate Park 6-visit punch pass $25 $35
Rippin’ Riverside Skate Park 12-month unlimited pass $240 $300
Rippin’ Riverside Skate Park helmet rental $5 $5

If a resident plans to skate six separate times, six daily admissions at $5 total $30; the $25 punch pass saves $5. A non-resident’s six daily visits would total $42 against the $35 pass, saving $7. Only buy the punch pass if all six visits will get used. Ask the desk about expiration, sharing, and re-entry before paying.

Entry doesn’t come with a spectator exemption. The city’s rule says anyone entering the skate park pays admission. If you’re the non-riding adult, call 407-971-5575 before you go to ask about watching from outside the fenced area and the current policy.

Sort the waiver before you drive

The current waiver is a five-page PDF linked from the City of Oviedo Activities page. Download it from the Skatepark Waiver.pdf link and read all five pages. For a minor, at least one parent or legal guardian should complete it; the city suggests both parents or guardians if possible.

You can sign in front of a Rippin’ Riverside staff member and have them witness the signature, or you can sign it away from staff and follow the city’s notarization instruction. Call 407-971-5575 before you travel if you need help with the form or want to confirm it will be accepted.

Helmets, age, and what the surface allows

The city lists a minimum age of 5. Everyone under 18 must wear a helmet with a chinstrap at all times. Rental helmets are available, but availability and fit aren’t guaranteed, so bring a helmet that already fits if you have one.

Elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards are recommended for skaters 10 and under but are not listed as required. Skateboards, skates, scooters, bikes, and wheelchairs are all welcome in the current listing. If the skating surface is wet, no activities are permitted.

The pre-trip list that prevents a wasted drive

Prices, hours, rules, and the fee schedule were checked against the City of Oviedo’s current pages and adopted FY 2026/27 fee schedule on October 20, 2026.
