Most of Oviedo's restaurants sit in a few clusters: along Mitchell Hammock Road, at Oviedo on the Park and its Food Factory food hall, downtown around Broadway and Central Avenue, and along Lockwood Boulevard and Aloma Avenue. Out east, Black Hammock serves fried catfish and gator bites by Lake Jesup.
The mix runs from a decades-old downtown diner to sushi, ramen, Thai, Indian, Cuban, Argentine and Greek kitchens. Many places close one day a week or between lunch and dinner, so call ahead.
