Best Restaurants in Oviedo, FL for Your Next Meal

When I’m picking where to eat in Oviedo, I start with the plate I actually want, then work backward to the restaurant. Some days that’s a black garlic and hamachi roll at Sushi Pop, and some nights it’s a star-shaped ricotta pizza or a bowl of tonkotsu ramen. The list below is a shortlist, not a directory dump, so I kept it to meals I’d actually steer a friend toward when the craving is specific. Use the comparison table to skip the back-and-forth on prices, then jump to the section that fits. That way you’re narrowing by appetite, not scrolling through every menu in town.

Sushi Pop: build the night around a roll

Sushi Pop is the first pick when the plan is sushi, mostly because the roll menu names exactly what you’re getting. Fish & Chips ($18) reads like a fried-fish roll reimagined: beer-battered fish, pickled red onion, yuzu tartar, potato chip, chives, and vinegar. Black Dragon ($19) includes eel, tempura scallion, kampyo, hamachi, black lime, black garlic aioli, and nori. I’d choose between them by ingredient list, not price. Both are single rolls, not the whole dinner.

The schedule shapes the meal: dinner starts at 5 p.m. most nights and runs later Friday and Saturday, and Sunday brunch runs 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. If this is the plan, I’d book through Resy. The current menu also says it can’t accommodate severe allergies, which matters more than the roll names if that’s your table.

Mister O1: star-shaped pizza can settle the table

For pizza night, Mister O1 gives the table two easy anchors. The 13-inch cheese pizza is $15.99, and Star Luca is $20.99 — star-shaped, with ricotta, mozzarella, tomato sauce, spicy salami calabrese, and basil. The vegetarian Star Michele is the same price with spinach, zucchini, and roasted pepper purée instead.

It’s walk-in only and opens daily at 11:30 a.m., closing at 9 Sunday through Thursday and 11 Friday and Saturday. I’d still pick it for a no-reservation night when one interesting pizza and one plain option can settle the table. If gluten-free modifications matter, the menu lists specific exclusions. For slices, carryout-only ordering and other whole-pie choices, compare pizza-night options.

Tabla: the lunch platter I’d actually plan around

Tabla is the lunch answer I’d put on the calendar. The weekday lunch platter is $14 Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., and that includes a fountain drink. The weekend thali is $18.99 during the same midday window.

The catch is the afternoon gap. Monday through Thursday, the restaurant closes from 3 to 4 before reopening, and Friday dinner starts at 5. For dinner plans, OpenTable and online ordering are both linked from the official page.

The Town House Restaurant: breakfast after breakfast hours

The Town House Restaurant is where breakfast outlasts the morning. Short Stack Platter ($13.49) is pancakes, two eggs, and a choice of bacon, sausage, or ham. The Historic Downtown Oviedo Platter ($15.99) includes two eggs, bacon and link sausage, grits or home fries, and an open-faced biscuit with sausage gravy. When someone wants breakfast at 6 p.m., this is the pick.

It also works as a burger stop: the cheeseburger is $16.99 and the Townhouse Burger $17.99, each with a side. The place sits in the historic downtown stretch, open Monday through Saturday 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., with a posted holiday exception. I wouldn’t plan a holiday visit without checking first.

JINYA Ramen Bar: a bowl with no closing gap

JINYA is the ramen fix with no afternoon closure. Daily 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. is the easy part; the reason to pick a specific bowl is the ingredient list. Tonkotsu Black ($17.90) is pork broth with chashu, kikurage, green onion, nori, seasoned egg, garlic chips, garlic oil, fried onion, spicy sauce, and thin noodles. Premium Tonkotsu Red ($18.90) switches to thick noodles and red chili oil, and spice above level 6 adds $1.

I’d keep it for late-lunch or odd-hour cravings that don’t want to time a service gap. Order online if you’re taking it home.

Lemongrass Thai Kitchen: choose between curry and coconut soup

Lemongrass is where the curry decision gets specific. The menu names Phad Thai and Drunken Noodle, but the ones I’d actually weigh are the signature curry with shrimp, squid, scallop, lemongrass, kaffir lime leaf, peppers, onion, carrot, and egg, or Tom Kha Kai — chicken in coconut broth with onion, lime juice, mushroom, bamboo shoot, and Thai herb broth.

The reason to call ahead here is practical: I couldn’t pin current prices from the menu, and it’s closed Sunday, with no Saturday lunch. Monday through Friday there’s a lunch window and then dinner, Friday dinner runs to 10, Saturday is 5 to 10. If a price or takeout matters, call 407-542-0658.

Café Panuzzo’s: Saturday pasta when pizza alone won’t do

Café Panuzzo’s is the answer when the group splits between pasta and pizza. The dinner menu gives real main prices: Eggplant Parmigiana $18.99, Baked Lasagna $19.99, or Chicken Parmigiana $21.99. The lunch menu has a two-slices-and-small-salad combo at $9.99, which is a different meal, not a dinner substitute.

It’s closed Sunday, open Monday through Saturday 11 to 9. I’d use it for a casual family table that wants familiar Italian. Reservations and pickup ordering are available.

Zaza Cuban Comfort Food: a Cubano with fries is the easy answer

Zaza’s easy answer is the Classic Cubano: roast pork, ham, Swiss, mustard, pickles, toasted Cuban bread, and fries included for $13.40. If a plate is more the mood, Lechon Asado is $14.99 with rice, black beans, and maduros. Both prices come from the brand menu linked from the Oviedo page, so treat them as direction, not a checkout guarantee.

The breakfast combo is $9.80, but only from 7 to 11 a.m., even though the restaurant serves all day. If coffee is the actual goal, a regular café con leche is $3.95. For an order, start online and choose the Oviedo location.

Black Hammock Restaurant: seafood with Lake Jesup as the excuse

Black Hammock is the meal you make part of a Lake Jesup drive. The Catfish Platter is $21.99 and the Fried Shrimp Platter $18.99, with a $14.99 burger as the non-seafood fallback. The seafood is the reason to go; the lake setting is the excuse to make it a trip instead of an errand. That said, the menu doesn’t promise a water view from every table.

It’s closed Monday. Tuesday through Thursday it runs until 8:30, Friday and Saturday until 9, and Sunday’s closing time is inconsistent between pages, so call 407-365-1244 if Sunday dinner is the plan. The address is still an Oviedo mailing address, but the restaurant sits outside central Oviedo. Pair it with the Lake Jesup guide if you want the outing to earn the drive.

When I’m choosing by craving

If a serious allergy is part of the decision, call the restaurant. Sushi Pop’s current menu says it cannot accommodate severe allergies, and some others use gluten-friendly or shared-equipment language. Parking and step-free access are not consistently published across these menus, so ask directly if either decides your night. For a broader browse, the restaurant directory is the wider net.

Method note: These picks come from each restaurant’s current published menu and hours as of October 17, 2026. I didn’t visit, taste, or test service for this article, so I’m recommending from what the menus show, not from a meal. Paid directory placement doesn’t determine who appears.
